Workshops
Attend a one* or two-day workshop and you can begin to acquire some of the following necessary skills:
1. Assemble and supervise a discovery team
2. Allocate discovery duties
3. Perform effective keyword search skills
4. *Retain expert assistance: types, need, selection, use, costs, credibility
5. Obtain and understand an ESI data map: locate discoverable data
6. *Obtain and understand your client’s document retention, storage, and destruction policies, records and practices
7. Draft, issue, monitor, supervise, modify and suspend an effective litigation hold
8. *Prepare for and chair an effective Meet and Confer
9. Draft a defensible response to opponent’s demand or motion
10. *Draft a Discovery Plan if required under the Rules
11. Perform legally defensible preservation and search
12. Establish and run a cost-effective review process (relevancy, privilege, issues)
Workshops are practical in orientation and can be offered in 3-hour modules. Workshops are offered at your law firm or offsite, during the week or as weekend retreats. The number of students is limited only by the size of the room.
Workshops include a combination of lecture, case studies and interactive exercises such as drafting a discovery plan.
After each workshop every student who attended will have 30 days of free interactive e-mail with the Instructor to ask follow-up questions.
